Frederick's Oktoberfest

.Frederick's Oktoberfest will take place in 2007 on the weekend of September 29-30 at the
E-ventplex at the Great Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, Maryland. Community Living and the Fredericktown Rotary Club will join together to host this popular fundraiser for the sixth time in celebration of Frederick's German heritage, the Old World Way!

Frederick's Oktoberfest is truly a family festival. Adults will enjoy the outdoor tented BierGarten and special German and locally brewed beers. All ages will enjoy the fantastic oompah entertainment of Mike and the Continentals and Heidi und Heimat Echo bands for their listening and dancing pleasure. The Alpine Dancers and the SuGTV Washingtonia dance group will perform sets of traditional German dances.

There will be a special children's area with bounces and slides and a kids' tent with arts and crafts activities as well as a variety of entertainers. Of course there will be vendors, crafters, and contests for both young and old.
