Alan Alan was institutionalized at age 7 and came to CLI after 33 years at Rosewood, a state institution.  He is cheerful, has a great sense of humor, and is willing to participate in new experiences.  However, this is tempered in that he prefers these new experiences to be one on one.  Nonetheless, Alan last year went on 152 engagements outside his house!  The one thing staff and Alan are most pleased about is that Alan now has a job delivering papers in his neighborhood. With coaching, Alan has learned his route, is friendly to people he meets along the way, and is now gainfully employed — at age 64.
