Special Gifts

We believe the most important reason for considering a gift to Community Living is your desire to support our residents in their efforts to live fulfilling lives right here in their own community. Other reasons might include:

• establishing memorials
• supporting new or enhanced programs
• extending the reach of the agency’s success to others with disabilities in the area
• providing special equipment or training for persons who can’t afford these goals themselves.

Donor-advised funds are welcome. Community Living is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3). Chartered in 1979, the agency is Frederick County, Maryland's largest provider of neighborhood homes for persons with developmental disabilities. All gifts to Community Living are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law, and all donors are appropriately acknowledged in the agency’s annual Report to Donors.

Community Living staff and volunteer financial experts are ready to assist you with information and planning needs. Gifts of real estate, tangible personal property, and stock are encouraged, providing that appraisals and transfer procedures comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
